Paradex airdropDIME

The DIME genesis airdrop for XP holders had a two-week claim window from 5 March 2026; XP Season 3 is running, with future rewards drawn from a community pool.

What qualified participants did

  1. Earned XP through trading, liquidity provision and platform activity during the XP seasons
  2. Linked social accounts to help the platform tell real users from Sybils
  3. Claimed DIME through the Paradex interface during the two-week genesis window
  4. For Season 3: keep earning XP under the new mechanics the docs say will be documented, and read them before committing capital

Where things stand

Paradex is a derivatives exchange with its own chain, Paradex Chain, and the DIME token is the native token of the ecosystem. DIME is natively issued on Ethereum and bridged to Paradex Chain and Solana, and it is also available on Hyperliquid. The official genesis post set the token generation for 5 March 2026 at 07:00 UTC, with an initial listing the same day, and said DIME would be claimable by eligible participants through the Paradex interface for two weeks. That window has now closed.

The Foundation announced a total supply of 1 billion DIME and said the airdrop was upsized to 25%, because the community allocation for XP Season 2 was raised from 15% to 20% of supply as part of the July 2025 season extension. On top of that, the Foundation bought 4.4% of supply from XP holders, mainly institutions. A later post states that this reduced the genesis airdrop allocation from 25.0% to 20.6%.

XP Season 3 started on 1 February 2026. The docs say 4,000,000 XP is distributed each Wednesday and that a new earning mechanic will be documented. The genesis post says the buyback increases the allocation for future seasons through Ongoing Community Rewards, but it does not publish a Season 3 reward amount or conversion. For that reason the project is listed as ended with an ongoing points program, not as an open airdrop.

How eligibility worked

Eligibility was driven by XP, Paradex's universal reward unit. The docs describe XP as earned for contributions to the platform, including trading, providing liquidity and community engagement. Pre-season and Season 1 ran from February 2024 to January 2025 and distributed about 100 million XP between them. Season 2 ran from 3 January 2025 to 29 January 2026 and distributed about 236 million XP. The genesis post ties the community airdrop allocation to Season 2.

The Season 3 page says that linking social media accounts such as X and Discord helps the team distinguish legitimate users from Sybils. It does not publish a scoring formula for Season 3, and the Season 2 weights were not part of the pages we could open, so we do not describe them. The Foundation also states that all team accounts are excluded from community rewards.

  • XP is the unit that determined each user's share.
  • Season 2 XP is the basis named for the genesis airdrop.
  • Team accounts are excluded from community rewards.

Token distribution and risks

The April 2026 transparency post describes how supply moved after genesis. Cumulative buybacks by Paradex and Paradigm reached 6.9% of supply as of 1 April 2026, which the Foundation said reduced circulating supply to about 20%. Paradigm preferred shareholders re-locked 10.4% of supply, with no tokens unlocking before 5 April 2027. Core contributors hold 29.0%, and the cliff on that allocation was moved to 5 August 2027, with 80% subject to a time condition and a performance milestone together.

DIME has stated uses: net protocol revenue is expected to fund buybacks, staking gives tiered fee discounts up to 30% on Pro taker fees, a 40% discount applies when fees are paid in DIME, and DIME is intended to be gas on Paradex Chain. These are design statements and may change.

The docs list official contract addresses and warn to verify any address before sending, bridging or approving DIME. Fake tokens and clone claim sites are a standard risk around any launch. Use the Paradex app and docs links only.

What to take from this drop

Paradex ran one of the longest XP programs among perp exchanges, spanning more than a year before a token existed. The practical lesson is about transparency: the final airdrop share changed from the original plan, because the allocation was upsized and then reduced by XP repurchases. Anyone who relies on a headline percentage should check the later Foundation posts, not just the announcement.

The second lesson is that a continuing XP season is not a promise. The Season 3 page states pool size and distribution day but no end date or conversion rate, so a participant cannot calculate a value from it. Treat it as an activity program whose reward terms are not yet published.

On security, never share your seed phrase, use only the contract addresses in the official docs, and be careful with bridging. If a site asks for a seed phrase to claim DIME, it is fraudulent.

Paradex airdrop questions

Is the Paradex DIME airdrop still open?

No. The genesis airdrop was claimable for two weeks from 5 March 2026 through the Paradex interface, and that window has closed. XP Season 3 is running, but no Season 3 reward amount is published.

How was Paradex airdrop eligibility decided?

It was based on XP. The Foundation tied the community allocation to XP Season 2, which ran from 3 January 2025 to 29 January 2026. Team accounts were excluded, and linking social accounts was recommended to help separate real users from Sybils.

How much of DIME was airdropped?

The Foundation announced 25% of the 1 billion supply, and a later post stated that XP repurchases reduced the genesis airdrop allocation to 20.6%.
