MegaETH airdropMEGA

MEGA launched on April 30, 2026 after a KPI-triggered TGE; the Fluffle and sale distributions were delivered then, and further rewards run through KPI commitments on Flux.

What qualified participants did

  1. Held a Fluffle NFT by the distribution date to be considered for the Fluffle allocation (50% delivered on April 30, 2026, remainder vesting over 6 months).
  2. Bid in the SONAR public auction run on Echo, which sold 5% of total supply over 72 hours.
  3. Took part in the Echo private round (equity plus token warrants), with claims handled on the Echo platform.
  4. Committed MEGA to Flux to share in future KPI-based reward distributions; maturity builds linearly from 0% to 100%.
  5. Checked claim links only against megaeth.com, flux.megaeth.com and the official docs before connecting a wallet.

Where things stand

MegaETH's token, MEGA, went live on April 30, 2026. The project's launch post describes it as a KPI-triggered token generation event: the TGE was set to occur once MegaETH met a performance milestone, and the first of four designated milestones was reached on April 23, 2026, when 10 MegaMafia apps were deployed onchain. The TGE followed one week later. MegaETH mainnet is also live, according to the project's homepage.

The one-off community distributions described on the Token page have already taken place. The Fluffle round delivered 50% to holder wallets on April 30, 2026, with the remainder vesting over six months, so the vesting tail runs into late 2026. Winning SONAR auction tokens went to bidding wallets on April 30, 2026, or April 30, 2027 for bidders who chose a lockup. For that reason we list the airdrop-style distributions as ended, even though the project's reward mechanism continues.

What continues is the KPI reward system. More than half of supply (53%) is reserved for KPI-based distribution covering reliability, performance, adoption and decentralisation. Holders who commit MEGA through Flux take part in future milestones, and their maturity builds linearly every second from 0% to 100%. This is a staking-like commitment mechanism, not a claim that a new wallet can open.

How eligibility worked

MegaETH did not run a single open retroactive airdrop. Its Token page splits the 15% community allocation across Echo, Fluffle, SONAR and a Mainnet Campaign. Each route had its own entry condition: holding a Fluffle NFT, bidding in the auction, or joining the Echo round. The page does not use the word airdrop, and we have not been able to confirm from first-party pages the details of any separate activity campaign, so we do not describe one.

Sybil and compliance filtering is stated openly. The Token page says unsold or undelivered community tokens, due to KYC, Sybil or other reasons, go to the Foundation, and that small differences from published figures may reflect KYC or Sybil adjustments. In practice, a participant could be allocated tokens and still not receive them if the wallet or identity failed these checks.

The public auction itself was unusually competitive. The project reports more than 50,000 bidders and $1.39 billion committed against a 5% sale, which means most of the demand could not be filled at the price discovered by the English auction format.

  • Community allocation: 15% of supply, across Echo, Fluffle, SONAR and Mainnet Campaign
  • KPI Rewards: 53% of supply, released as milestones are attested
  • Undelivered community tokens: returned to the Foundation

Risks and red flags

Claims for the Echo-based rounds happen on the Echo platform, and KPI rewards are handled through Flux. Use the links published on megaeth.com rather than links from search ads or direct messages. Fake MegaETH claim and migration sites circulate whenever a token trades, and a genuine interaction never needs your seed phrase.

Third-party summaries of MegaETH's sale vary widely on amounts raised and dates. Where they conflict with the project's own Token page, rely on the Token page. If you hold locked or vesting tokens, check release dates there rather than in exchange or aggregator posts.

What to take from this drop

MegaETH shows a move away from the classic points-for-airdrop model. Allocation was tied to money or assets committed (NFT ownership, auction bids, private-round participation) and to ongoing commitment of the token itself. Participants who relied on activity alone had no stated route to an allocation on the first-party pages we could open.

It also demonstrates how milestone-based launches work: the date of the TGE depended on a technical target rather than a calendar. Anyone following a future project that uses KPI triggers should read the milestone definitions closely, since they determine both launch timing and later reward flow.
