What qualified participants did
- Played Turbo Tap and built onchain activity on Eclipse before the snapshot.
- Maintained an X presence measured through Kaito analytics, where the foundation counted it.
- Took part in the Eclipse Discord community.
- Claimed on the official claims site within the 30-day window that ended on 15 August 2025.
Where things stand
Eclipse began as an Ethereum layer-2 that runs the Solana Virtual Machine, and its token is ES. The airdrop claim was hosted on claims.eclipse.xyz and, according to the project's own newsletter, ran for 30 days and ended at 10:00 UTC on 15 August 2025. That window is closed, and we found no announcement of a second claim.
In June 2026 the project published an "Updated $ES Tokenomics" article. It states that the total supply is fixed at 1 billion ES and splits it into a 24% float for airdrop, liquidity and community, 29% for ecosystem and development, 16% for contributors and 31% for early supporters and investors. Contributor and investor tokens unlock one third on 16 July 2026 and then in monthly 1/24 steps.
The same article describes a change of focus. It says ES is the token for Human API, that the project will not issue a separate token for it, and that the Foundation sold part of its treasury to fund operations without stating the amount. It lists directions being explored, such as instant onchain payments and higher earnings for users who choose or stake ES.
How eligibility worked
The official pages we could open do not list the criteria in detail, and the introductory ES article returned an error. The most specific account comes from The Block, which reported that eligibility rested on three signals: onchain activity in the Turbo Tap game, social presence on X as measured by Kaito analytics, and Discord engagement. The foundation said there was no one-to-one conversion from points to tokens.
The same report said the foundation planned to publish the snapshot and allocation breakdown afterwards in order to discourage gaming. We did not find that breakdown on the official pages we reached, so the snapshot date is shown as not announced here. The Eclipse newsletter does confirm that no employees would claim, and The Block reported that staff had to submit all wallet addresses, including test wallets, for exclusion.
Mixing onchain, social and community signals makes it harder to qualify with only one cheap action, but it also makes the outcome hard to predict. People who used many wallets for the game could still be judged on their social and Discord activity, and the project gave no public formula for how the signals were combined.
- Turbo Tap and other onchain activity on Eclipse.
- X activity scored through Kaito analytics.
- Discord engagement.
- Team members and their wallets were excluded.
Risks and red flags
The only claim domain the project has named is claims.eclipse.xyz, and the claim is over. A page that offers an ES claim now, especially one reached through a direct message or a reply, should be treated as a phishing site. Never sign a message or approve a token spend to receive an airdrop, and never give a seed phrase to anyone.
The tokenomics article also shows that circumstances change after a launch. The Foundation sold treasury tokens, vesting for investors and contributors began to unlock in 2026, and the product direction moved toward Human API. These are facts to weigh independently, and nothing here is a recommendation.
Because the airdrop was partly decided by social metrics, imitation accounts offering to "boost your score" were common around such drops. No service can change an allocation after the claim has closed.
What to take from this drop
Eclipse shows how an airdrop can combine several kinds of activity and still publish few details at the time of the activity. Participants who followed only the game points found that points did not convert directly into tokens.
It also illustrates the importance of the claim window. A 30-day period is a hard deadline, and the newsletter stated the exact time it ended. If you take part in a drop, copy the deadline from an official page when you start.
Finally, a project's later tokenomics updates matter as much as the first allocation. Reading the official articles, not summaries, is the most reliable way to understand supply, unlocks and the direction of the project.

How was Eclipse airdrop eligibility decided?
The Block reported that it was based on Turbo Tap onchain activity, X presence measured with Kaito analytics, and Discord engagement. Eclipse employees were excluded. The official criteria article could not be opened.
