What qualified participants did
- Eligible users viewed allocations on the claim portal at airdrop.wardenprotocol.org from February 4, 2026
- Claim-based participants chose when to claim, since rewards grew with waiting time and peaked at month six
- WARP holders and stakers, OPEN OGs and Wallchain campaign participants received WARD automatically
- Current holders in self-custody keep at least 1 WARD in place through the migration snapshot; no claim is needed
- Liquidity providers remove liquidity before 07:00 UTC on the snapshot day, as the migration guide instructs
Where things stand
Warden Protocol builds an ecosystem for AI agents, made up of Warden Chain and the Warden app. WARD is its utility token, used for governance, staking, rewards, payment for publishing agents and gas abstraction. The docs give an initial total supply of 1,000,000,000 WARD. According to the official blog, WARD went live on February 4, 2026, and the airdrop claim portal opened at 12:00 UTC that day.
The airdrop used a time-based design. Rewards grew the longer a participant waited before claiming and reached their maximum at month six, which fell in early August 2026. Claiming was a one-time action that locked in the amount, and unclaimed allocation returns to the Public Goods pool. The blog does not give a final claim deadline. We list the airdrop as ended because the TGE distribution and the six-month growth period are over, but we could not confirm whether the portal still accepts late claims, and say so here.
The more pressing event is a token migration. Following governance proposal 6, WARD is moving from Warden Chain to a LayerZero OFT on Base, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain, with a snapshot on October 22, 2026 at 08:00 UTC. The docs mark that date as provisional and say it will be confirmed during the week of October 19.
How eligibility worked
The airdrop stages page describes a first snapshot covering Warden testnet participants, WARP holders and users from other ecosystems, followed by a completed pre-TGE campaign. The launch blog splits recipients into two paths. Participants in The Great Pump Off, which covered Warden PUMPs and a mindshare leaderboard, had to claim through the portal. WARP holders and stakers, OPEN OGs and Wallchain campaign participants received tokens automatically in their Warden wallets.
The airdrop terms set out the anti-abuse rules. Bots, automation, Sybil attacks, multiple accounts and false information are prohibited, and Warden may disqualify or blacklist wallets at its sole discretion, with decisions described as final. Participants had to be at least 18, hold an eligible Warden account and could be subject to KYC checks. Several sanctioned countries and regions are excluded, and using a VPN to get around restrictions can lead to permanent disqualification.
The distribution page allocates 47 million WARD, or 4.70% of supply, to the initial airdrop, with 30.32 million available at genesis and the rest vesting over six months.

- Rewards peaked at month six after launch.
- Registrants who missed the final threshold were promised a refund of the registration fee.
Risks and red flags
The migration creates a short window for scams. The official guide says the migration is automatic for self-custody wallets and stakers and that you should not use any site asking you to claim or connect your wallet for it. Warden states it will never ask for your seed phrase. Old WARD contracts are deprecated after the snapshot on every chain, so buying or depositing old WARD afterwards risks a loss.
Liquidity providers face a specific risk: the guide says paired assets in pools are not protected after the snapshot, so liquidity should be removed before 07:00 UTC on the snapshot day and farms unstaked first. Warden Chain holders receive new WARD on Base at the 0x address that matches their warden1 address, so check access to that address beforehand.
If you hold WARD on a trading venue, the guide says the venue credits the new token 1:1, but deposits of old WARD after the snapshot will not be credited.
What to take from this drop
The WARD airdrop is over in practice, and its time-weighted claim design rewarded patience rather than speed. Anyone who has not claimed should check the official portal directly and not rely on third-party links.
The rest of the supply schedule is published in the docs. Beyond the initial airdrop, 5.3% goes to public goods such as activity leaderboards, 12% to ecosystem and community, 19% to agent incentives and developers, 10% to validators, 22% to treasury and research, 20% to core contributors with a six-month cliff and two years of linear vesting, and 2% to strategic investors with a 12-month cliff. The migration guide adds that maximum supply is now capped at 2 billion WARD, while total and circulating supply and the release schedule are unchanged.
For current holders, the migration matters more than the airdrop. Keep tokens in place through the snapshot, remove liquidity in time, and add the new contract addresses from the official migration page afterwards. We will update this page once the snapshot is confirmed.

Warden Protocol airdrop questions
Can I still claim the WARD airdrop?
The official blog gives no claim deadline. Rewards reached maximum value at month six after the February 4, 2026 launch, and unclaimed allocation returns to the Public Goods pool. Check the official portal directly.
Do I need to do anything for the WARD migration?
Not if you hold WARD in a self-custody wallet or staked: the docs say balances migrate 1:1 automatically after the October 22, 2026 snapshot, provided you hold at least 1 WARD. Liquidity providers must remove liquidity first.
How much WARD went to the initial airdrop?
The distribution page allocates 47 million WARD, 4.70% of the 1 billion initial supply, with 30.32 million available at genesis.
