What to do, in order
-
Step 1
Install the Grass app from the official site and keep the device connected so bandwidth is available.
-
Step 2
Link a wallet in the dashboard and read the Rewards Program Terms for eligibility and excluded regions.
-
Step 3
Earn Uptime Points through connection time and Network Points when your bandwidth is actually used.
-
Step 4
Do not use a VPN to get around geographic restrictions, since the terms allow disqualification for that.
-
Step 5
Use only app.grass.io/dashboard for rewards, as named in the Rewards Terms, and ignore other claim links.
Where things stand
Grass is a network in which users share unused internet bandwidth, and the network sells access to public web data collection for AI and enterprise use. The GRASS token already trades, and its first distribution, called Airdrop One, is finished. Claims opened on October 28, 2024, and an extended claiming window closed around March 27, 2025, according to the official documentation.
The program did not stop after that. Grass moved into what it calls Stage 2, and on October 8, 2025 it published an update to its points model that took effect from Epoch 11. The official docs describe the continuing points as one of the factors that determine Grass Token or USDC rewards in future distributions. The tokenomics page reserves 170 million GRASS for future incentives, but no date, snapshot or amount for a second airdrop is published in the documents we reviewed.
For that reason this page lists Grass as potential: a points program exists and a token allocation is reserved, but no new distribution is confirmed. We could not verify any statement about the end of an epoch or a payout schedule on first-party pages, so we do not repeat claims found on aggregator sites.
How eligibility works
Airdrop One used a points threshold. The Network Snapshot included users who earned more than 500 Grass Points in a given epoch, and allocations in each epoch were divided into nine tiers based on points from uptime and referrals. To qualify, users also had to link a wallet on the dashboard before October 14, 2024 at 20:00 UTC. Separate pools covered GigaBuds NFT holders, who received 515 GRASS per NFT, and users of the Desktop Node or Saga app.
The current model splits points into two types. Uptime Points reward the time a device stays connected and also come from active referrals and milestone bonuses. Network Points reward bandwidth that the network actually uses: a fixed pool of one million Network Points is shared each day in proportion to bandwidth used, and a user whose bandwidth is not used earns none that day. Usage depends on regional demand, connection stability and recent use of the connection. Tier rank counts Uptime Points only.
The Rewards Program Terms add that the amount depends on factors such as time available, connection quality, location and bandwidth used. Grass can disqualify participants who use a VPN to avoid geographic limits, and people in a list of sanctioned or high-risk jurisdictions are excluded. These rules act as Sybil controls: points depend on real traffic and on region, so running many idle accounts does not guarantee reward. Grass does not publish a full description of its detection methods.
- Airdrop One threshold: more than 500 points in any epoch.
- Current points: Uptime Points and Network Points.
- Referral commissions apply to Uptime Points only.
Risks and red flags
Grass documents note that being a participant is not a guarantee. The site states that installing the app or buying a Grasshopper device does not guarantee Network Points or rewards, and that points are one factor in future distributions. The terms say Grass decides eligibility and may exclude users, so treat points as a claim on nothing until a distribution is announced.
Phishing is a clear risk. The Rewards Terms name one website for claiming or receiving Grass Tokens or USDC, app.grass.io/dashboard, and tell users to distrust any other site. The Airdrop One documentation also states that no one from the team will ask for your private key or request token transfers. Fake claim pages and fake support accounts are common for any airdrop with an active community.
There are privacy and device considerations as well. You are letting an app route web traffic through your connection, so read the network use policy and the safety pages on the official site, and run the app only on devices and networks where you are allowed to do so.
What to take from this drop
Grass shows how a points program can run for years across stages and epochs. Airdrop One rewarded the earliest uptime and referral activity with a clear threshold and tiers. The later change to Network Points shifts the reward from being online to being used, which is closer to how the network earns revenue.
It also shows how rules can change between stages. The 500-point threshold and nine tiers applied to Airdrop One, while the Stage 2 model uses different points and a fixed daily pool. Anyone entering now should not assume the earlier criteria still apply.
Practical guidance: read the Rewards Program Terms before investing time, check whether your region is excluded, keep the dashboard as your only reward link, and consider the electricity and bandwidth cost. Until Grass publishes details for another distribution, the sensible assumption is that points are an input to a future reward, not a promised amount.

Grass airdrop questions
Is the Grass airdrop still open?
Airdrop One is closed: claims opened in October 2024 and the extended window ended around March 2025. No second airdrop has been officially announced, though the points program continues.
How do I check Grass airdrop eligibility?
Use the official dashboard at app.grass.io, which the Rewards Terms name as the only site for claiming or receiving rewards. Airdrop One allocations were shown on grassfoundation.io/claim.
What are Grass Points?
Grass Points have two types: Uptime Points for time connected, referrals and milestones, and Network Points for bandwidth the network actually uses. Points are one factor in future token or USDC rewards.
