What to do, in order
-
Step 1
Read the official Base announcement on the network token exploration and treat it as the only confirmed information.
-
Step 2
Follow the official Base blog and the verified Base channels for any future statement.
-
Step 3
If you use Base, use only well-known apps and keep wallet permissions tidy.
-
Step 4
Ignore any site, bot or message offering a Base airdrop claim, since none has been announced.
-
Step 5
Never sign a transaction or share a seed phrase to check or claim a supposed Base token.
Where things stand
Base is a layer 2 network incubated by Coinbase. As of the date above, the only official statement about a Base token that we could find is a post on the Base blog titled "The State of Base at BaseCamp", published on September 15, 2025. In it, Base says it is "beginning to explore a network token" and that it has "no definitive plans to share at this time". The post adds that Base is in the early phases of that exploration and has no specifics on timing, design or governance.
We checked the Base home page, the Base documentation and the Base blog index for anything newer. The pages we opened mentioned tokenized stocks and token standards, but nothing about a network token, a snapshot, a points programme or an airdrop. That is why this page lists status as potential: there is an official signal that a token is being considered, but nothing that a participant can act on.
Every specific number you may see elsewhere, such as a supply, a date or an allocation for Base, is not backed by the official pages we reviewed. This page leaves those fields empty on purpose.
How eligibility could work, and what is known
Nothing is officially known about eligibility. The Base announcement does not mention an airdrop, a snapshot, or criteria. Any claim that a particular app, bridge or number of transactions "qualifies" is a guess.
It is reasonable to note what past network-token launches have had in common, as context only. Several projects have rewarded usage measured over a fixed past period, filtered duplicate wallets, and published the rules and claim domain at the same time as the snapshot. None of that is a statement about Base, and activity on the network today is not a promise of any reward.
- Confirmed: Base is exploring a network token.
- Not confirmed: whether a token will launch, when, and whether any distribution to users will exist.
- Not confirmed: any eligibility rules, snapshot or claim page.
Risks and red flags
Because Base has a large user base and a well-known parent company, it is a frequent target for impersonation. Fake "Base airdrop checkers" and claim pages ask users to connect a wallet and approve a transaction, which can give a scammer permission to move tokens. Since no official claim exists, any such page is a red flag.
Protect yourself with a few habits. Open links only from the official Base blog or verified channels, never share your seed phrase or private key with anyone, review token approvals periodically, and keep significant funds in a wallet that you do not use to interact with unfamiliar apps.
What to take from this
The honest summary is that a Base token is a possibility under study, not a programme. It is more useful to watch the official source than to speculate: when a project is ready to share details, it normally publishes them on its own blog and documentation first.
If you choose to use Base, do so because the apps are useful to you and the fees fit your needs, not because of an assumed reward. This page will be updated if Base publishes eligibility details. It is informational and is not financial advice.

Base airdrop questions
Is there a Base airdrop?
Not officially. Base has said it is exploring a network token and has no definitive plans to share. No airdrop, snapshot or claim page has been announced in the official pages we reviewed.
Has Base confirmed a token?
No. The official blog post says Base is beginning to explore a network token, with no specifics on timing, design or governance.
How do I check Base airdrop eligibility?
There is no official checker. Treat any site that claims to check Base airdrop eligibility as suspicious and do not connect a wallet to it.
